WinQure Medicine Chief Scientific Officer and Scientific Founder Henrik Ørum will join BioCentury Grand Rounds Europe in Amsterdam on September 24 for a panel exploring the future of RNA therapeutics.
The session, “RNA gets tenure: What will it take for RNA to sit alongside mAbs and small molecules as a fully derisked modality?”, will examine how far RNA therapeutics have come and what is still needed for the technology to become part of the drug developer’s everyday toolbox.
Few people have had a closer view of that journey than Henrik. With more than 30 years at the forefront of antisense technology, he has helped shape the field from its earliest days through to its emergence as an established therapeutic modality.
Henrik will be joined by Edward Hodgkin, Partner at Syncona; Paul Nioi, SVP of Research at Alnylam; Martina Roos, Principal Scientist at Novartis; Sriram Sathy, CSO at AIRNA; and Leen Thielemans, Managing Partner and CSO at 2 Bridge. The discussion will be moderated by Stephen Hansen, Director of Biopharma Intelligence at BioCentury.
So what does the future hold for RNA therapeutics? At WinQure, we believe an important part of the next chapter lies in ultra-rare disease, where the precision of antisense technology makes it possible to develop therapies within the timelines and cost framework needed for small, genetically defined patient populations.
BioCentury Grand Rounds Europe takes place in Amsterdam from September 23–25, 2026, bringing together biotech, biopharma, academia and investors around emerging therapeutic technologies and translational science.
